Leila Lutz

Director

Exercise and Lifestyle Coach

Personal trainer mosman

Leila began her career at Mosman Fitness First in 2003 where she was lucky enough to work with Donal Carr (CHEK IV, HLC III, Faculty)  It was through curing her own illness and working with Donal, learning the C.H.E.K principles that she realised just how much more there is to the body and health than training.  Leila’s passion in her work is giving people the tools to listen to their own body and all the messages it sends each and every one of us.  She believes that all of us have a perfect blue print of ourselves and that her purpose is to coach clients how to access and express their full potential.

In 2010, Leila realised that she needed to get out of the commercial gym environment and create a place where people could come and truly connect with and learn about themselves.  And so the Momentum for Life studio was born.  The Momentum for Life team is one of Leila’s proudest achievements.  Bringing an amazing group of practitioners together who share the vision to coach people to help themselves was a lifelong dream.

Leila is extremely passionate about bringing the C.H.E.K principles and courses to her clients and the health industry.  This has brought her to being the Relationship Manager for Place of CHI, the official affiliate for the C.H.E.K Institute, directed by Donal and Cathy Carr.  She is also the head of the C.H.E.K student council for Australia.  www.placeofchi.com

Leila continues through her C.H.E.K journey and will complete her Level 3 C.H.E.K Practitioner this year, as well as Level 3 Holistic Lifestyle Coach.  She is also a level 1 FMA Strength Coach.

Angus Rickard

Training and Development Manager

Exercise and Lifestyle Coach.

Angus (Gus) Rickard has a true fascination of the human experience and our possibility for change and growth, both physically and emotionally. This passion and curiosity is reflected in his work with clients and groups through their coaching.  His passion for studying the human body is putting him at the forefront of the industry.

Having trained himself in gym since the age of 14 years, Gus had had a long fascination with exercise and began his career as a Personal Trainer in 2003. But this was only the lifting of the envelope of the world of health and exercise.  Back and pelvis injuries motivated him to study about rehabilitation and corrective exercise and his desire to learn more and delve into the depths of just what made the human body do what it does encouraged him to study Tai Chi and Qi Kung and began his interest in the C.H.E.K program.

Gus was a Co-Founder of Origin of Energy Gym where he taught workshops on health and exercise, as well as designed and taught group training sessions for three years.

Gus’ passion lies with training athletes for performance and you will often find him in the gym experimenting with exercise protocols or buried in a text book, working out how to get the best response from a muscle or movement pattern.  Gus also has an in-depth understanding of the human body and its systems and their effects on exercise outcomes and prescription.

His passion for studying and learning makes Gus an excellent teacher.  This has brought him to Momentum for Life to lead our team in the practices of Exercise Coaching.  Gus is in charge of all our group programming and qualifying as well as mentoring our staff through the practical side of their careers as personal trainers.

Gus continues to study through the CHEK program and will complete his Level 3 CHEK Practitioner this year. He has also just completed Level 2 of the FMA Strength Conditioning program for which he is honored to be a mentor.  For more information go to www.fmastrengthtraining.com and www.placeofchi.com

Holistic Energy CoachJoanna Rushton is a highly sought after presenter, facilitator and energy coach within the corporate and health industries. She consults to corporate wellness companies designing proactive resilience programs for executives and leaders of today and is considered an authority on best practices for building personal health and resilience in the workplace. She isn’t shy to share the latest research that confronts a decade of misleading health and dietary guidelines while debunking the myths that keep us from the real truth that underpins optimal and sustainable energy levels that keep organizations and their people operating at their full potential.

With 12 years as a chef Jo has developed a deep apperception for organic foods and their innate life force. Her career in the integrative health industry was birthed ten years ago as a personal trainer and competitive body builder, from which she says, “The experience gained as a body builder taught me everything I needed to know about how NOT to train and fuel the body!”

Jo loves preparing and eating fresh seasonal produce using only the best organic and free range locally sourced products. Jo’s magic touch makes every morsel she prepares seriously tasty, filled with ingredients that make the whites of your eyes shine bright.

Jo says… “To be healthy and happy is our birth right and using “Food as Medicine” plays such a crucial part in us experiencing this right. Mother Nature has always provided us with all that we have needed to create or heal and sustain a healthy, vital and joyful lifestyle, we have just forgotten how to connect with her and feed from her offerings with reverence”

The combination of Jo’s passion led her to become a registered C.H.E.K Exercise and Holistic Lifestyle Coach specializing in corrective exercise, rehabilitation and holistic health and lifestyle Planning. Jo’s dedication and commitment to the C.H.E.K approach has lead Jo to become a member of the C.H.E.K Institute teaching faculty, teaching HLC level 1 across Australia

When asked what is the greatest challenge faced in today’s corporate business world Jo replied:

“ A closed heart…I believe organisations and their people are great because of adversity not despite it…but only if they are brave enough to open their heart and evolve on all levels of their being. To thrive or even survive in current times requires a fundamental re-thinking of the meaning and application of the most basic assumptions about personal self-care, management, community and leadership, this can not be done through the mind alone”

Jo also has a multidiciplined private practice in Mosman enabling her to incorporate years of experience and wisdom by facilitating private coaching and working with whole families to change eating habits and improve quality of choice on a budget, she’ll also give you a pantry makeover!

Jo’s inspiring and powerful keynotes, energy coaching and cooking demonstrations confirm she is truly a remarkable change agent, empowering other people to transform their lives, improve personal health, achieve personal goals and make a difference in their life and the lives of those they touch.
